Department of Transportation (DoT) to permit as many as 188 additional flights (extra flight) to four airlines in the forth and the current flow through Lebaran or Idul Fitri 1430H.
Minister of Transportation, Jusman Syafii Djamal, in Jakarta on Tuesday, said the additional flight was given to four of the airline Garuda Indonesia, Merpati, Mandala Airlines, and Air Triagana.
“Additional flight especially on tracks like super busy Jakarta-Medan and Jakarta-Surabaya, to accommodate travelers who use air transportation,” Jusman Syafii Djamal said after attending the plenary session of Parliament in the House of Representatives Senayan Jakarta.
He said the additional flight permission granted to four airlines after a four-company filed for permission to MoT booking number of potential travelers.
With the additional flight 188, he estimates that the majority of travelers use air transportation transported. “At this year’s Lebaran travelers using air transport approximately 1.3 million people, or up approximately 15 percent,” he said.
When asked about the tariff, Jusman explained, allowed the airline to impose limits or rates rose by about 15 percent.
According to him, 15 per cent increase is the highest rate permitted the government. “If the highest rate limit shall be given sanctions, for violating the rules,” he said. Sanctions are given, he said, a verbal warning or written warning.
Until now, flight tickets on busy routes such as Jakarta, Medan, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Surabaya, Jakarta, Medan, and Jakarta-Makassar are sold out until Lebaran D+3.
